Teguise Playa Hotel, Occidental chain ( are maintained La Reconquista in Oviedo ) is located in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote west. Costa Teguise has taken the prize for most artificial place I've seen in my life. All tailored to German English and Irish: apartments, bars, shops, streets ....
When I went to Falcon Travel to hire my vacation, I asked the girl a 4 or 5 star, where they eat well, with large pools, and as close to the beach. I recommended this, and I cheated on all but the last, as this first line Jablillo surrounding the beach, with spectacular views. I say I cheated for the rest because they do not eat well, and the pools if are great but one does not count because I've only seen two people use it, since its temperature is below 20 degrees and you can die of cold (at least I do).
The room was rather simple, normal on the other hand, if we speak of a 4-star hotel perfectly fulfills what will now be called the Theory of Medina ( link to see its source): "If a hotel is 5 star, is 4, if 4, is 3 ... and so on."
Although the room holds ....( priceless treasure with nature being selfish and ignoring the law of costs ). Is to have these views to the sea for a week:
meals dinner and breakfast were very poor. The only meat we saw all week was pork and more pork and some turkey and chicken (cheap ) and yes, lots of lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes, seasoning, rice, fish etc ... I did not see much, just one day. And the breakfasts were fully addressed foreigner customer: sausages, beans, boiled eggs, fried eggs, bacon, ham .... and pastries for the English and Frogs ..... na na muffins and toast put all day and occasionally some minicroissant, or strudel.
Indeed, in advertising the hotel in the travel brochure gifts to all guests staying on half board with a dinner at the Italian restaurant, which was closed, as Grill, indefinitely .... that in my village is called false advertising.
As for the rest of the hotel I have little to say, but intense, regular reception shooting edge, the restaurant service was going from us directly, animation catastrophic ... of embarrassment ....
Cleanup great, but marred by the poor quality of the towels, sheets and other things ...
In general, I recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy spectacular views, and do not mind being on a diet of salads and pork one week you bathing in pools of cold salt water from the entertainment and reception.
