Pilgrimage to Covadonga. Part 3 covadonga

Day 3. May 21, 2009. Call of Parres - Covadonga.

Start the morning with fog instead of going out at 9 we went 10. Strong breakfast and started the route with a final visit to Rosa, the woman who taught us Paco home.

We decline to reach the mud a few miles where there was a workers working. In Romillo stop us in the way a dog with a bad pint, as we planned how to spend enough time left us. Paula White was giving Filipinos as it passed him and as we liked to pass without problems.

And then we Romiyo, and found his way to Cangas as we climbed a hill an erase went crazy and started screaming as we descojonabamos Paco appeared again with the taxi. We continued walking and we are surprised to find so close to the Parador de Cangas de Onis, she was about, and it was easy as we walked several miles along a path of cholesterol that reaches the center of Cangas de Onis. We took some pictures in the Roman bridge just after Paula scold a peasant for carrying a large backpack.

After the photos look a pub to cool off a bit and then continue by road to Covadonga. Covadonga began approaching a sidewalk, asked a very butch Mrs workers who went with us and said there were still 5 or 6 restaurants before arriving and it was approaching lunchtime. Just after finding out that the Palm, that Paula wanted to eat was closed for death we walked and ate at the restaurant of the flags placed.

then run again, as it was already low. We hurried a bit because Paula came up with the idea that perhaps Sanctuary closed at 5 and that the last bus was at 17:15. Paula started to rush and call to Bethlehem for the SRT and said that at 8, but we at the same rate, as the thrilled us close the shrine.

finally arrived, we were very happy, very excited, and drank from the source of the 7 channels. Then I threw some coins into the pond while Paula photos to a couple and then started climbing together, while the stairs to Cave. The virgin and we kissed a little rest while the priest was saying the rosary as the audio or tombolero alsas. We could not do our photo with the poster for last stage because there were many people and it was forbidden then we throw in a proa out there, we sat in a corner and we did it.

then began to rain harder while searching the place of offerings to make our CV What are we left there (in the museum) and started to look way down, we had to call a taxi, because the last bus and had started, but we take nose and asked hikers to Santander if they cared to get off to Cangas. Immediately accepted and welcomed us enthusiastically and we asking all delighted. And do not forget a lesson for education: "When someone gets sick the rest of the group waiting for him with patience." One lady had a bad start and the ambulance had to come through and another wounded.

in Cangas coleguillas we say goodbye to our asylum and went shopping for gifts here and there, a change of beach by Sandra and then to find Victor, former partner of PET to make it a little the ball and help us find jobs. Very nice and then we attended the Alsa, and here we are relaxed back to Gijón. The We both agree that we had a great, despite my blisters and the tick that carries pa Paula Gijon.

Pilgrimage - Part 2

Day 2: Wednesday May 20, 2009. Sevens - Call Parres. 35 Km

After a cold night, and a weird breakfast (the gentleman had no spirit) undertake journey by road to Anayo, with stiffness and pain. We passed Borines Borines and drank water, not to Bezoya, or Bezanes. We

the midday snack on a porch of the church Miyares Vallobal and passed through a village with many mansions.

Sorrentino Already Sueve contemplate the mountain, with beautiful country homes. When we lose a crossroads, as many others, unmarked and with a misplaced arrow, white on the left and suddenly appeared Paco, an acquaintance of Paul (as if it were our particular Gandalf), and we said we were going 50 m. more wrong, turned around and a hard climb to Llames of Parres, a town that is anything but focused, sent us to our destination exhausted, but much difference from other hikers as the owner of the property. To all this pray for a spike that made us finally tenderloin and a coke, the best of our lives and we went to a shower, rest a bit in our room with the smell of Ayacucho, but nicely decorated. And clean. And then to take some pictures of the people, the church and here we are telling the side of the Church of San Martín de Escoto.

Pilgrimage to Covadonga

19 to May 21 my good friend Paula and I headed to Covadonga in search of adventure and a heart full of hope. Like any good pilgrim had a motivation, a promise to do to "Santina", but for skeptics who read this blog I have to say no latching only that, but a challenge, a demonstration of courage and courage itself, and what we are willing to do for our desires . Thus begin the chronicles of our journey to Covadonga, written by the two protagonists in our time off at the end of each day.

Day 1: Tuesday May 19, 2009. Gijón - Seven (33 Km)

route started thinking, "A cost! What are 8am in the morning Tovia nooooo! ". Then we started to follow the signs "Camino de Covadonga" although we had to draw on our intuition because we found several signaling crossroads and look doubtful that causality! That intuition always took us uphill. We had to get Niévares and did not quite get. We crossed a mountain road to the chagrin of Paula animles and began to hear the turbo and Sandra put behind razor in hand, thinking how to attack the boar as he walked when approached. Then we tried in the forest and began to muddy. We found several "guiris" by the way of Santiago, and therefore had to explain why we were in the opposite direction.

Several mudflats through started looking for a place to eat at home but can not find it so we continued to find a place off the road, but no big deal. Intuitively, we reached the road and returned to the road again. We all turned up to sense the direction of a town where almost get lost (we told a woman who left home on purpose to tell us) and there was a very beautiful chapel, and a mortifying way, across the swamps of the dead rising and going up to Seven. And now we're here because we are taking a sidrita basin, we can not do without it ... we realize that we desired come first from the normal road.
